Bradley-Mason LLP provides a wide range of services in respect of Building Insurance and Reinstatement after damage. We can provide a Fire Reinstatement Cost Assessment, often known as an RCA and traditionally known as a Fire Reinstatement Valuation. By utilising up to date information from the RICS Building Cost Information Service, combined with our own assessment of the property a cost estimate is provided as a basis of your insurance. We have also been instructed to act as an Expert Witness where a dispute has arisen over the level of insurance on a property and whether the previous calculation was correctly prepared.
We can provide specific advice to either the insurers or the insured in respect of specific building issues which may have an impact on building insurance. Typical issues include the standard of insulation to industrial cladding and issues to residential flats following from the Grenfell disaster.
Our Project Management Team have developed a specialist service in the rapid assessment of works arising from an unfortunate disaster which may be flood damage, a fire or vandal attack. We would quickly assess the damage, prepare an outline feasibility for the work required and act on a client’s behalf to agree this with the insurers Lost Adjuster. The works are then specified, tendered and Project Managed to ensure a property is occupied as soon as possible and the impact on our client’s business minimised.
